Friends... this week was an epic budget breakdown. My MOH Chelsea was visiting from Seattle and goodness gracious did we have fun. Eating out every night, multiple drinks and insisting on picking up the tab was great for my heart/mind/soul/overall well being, but bad for my wallet.
I have zero regrets, but it looks like it might be a ramen noodle kind of week. All that spending plus the normal expenses ($80 on groceries) really put me in the hole.
How do you bounce back when your budget takes a hit?

Sometimes you just have to! Speaking of Brix, have you had their mac and cheese? It is insane!
Budget or not, sometimes when friends are visiting you just have to splurge. Life's too short not to!! Brix is one of my recent favs, too! Such good happy hour food :)
i cut down on eating out... i am on damage control right now! hope you have a great weekend!
Girl, you've been doing so well with your budget who cares if you have one "splurge" week. YOU DESERVE IT! And if you really feel guilty then just cut back next week and pass your free time by looking at all the wonderful pictures you took while you MOH was in town!
I've definitely been there before, and it is so much fun to splurge, but then like you, I end up eating cheaply and minimally for a while afterward to balance it out. Wish I had a better secret to making it all even out :)
Don't worry...we all have those sorts of setbacks. I always find myself wondering where all my money went by the end of the month.
