Grateful

As I was leaving Oregon Humane Society I saw a girl crying in the lobby. When I asked her what was wrong, she said that she was just so happy to finally be able to adopt cats that she was overjoyed to the point of tears.

It got me thinking that I really don't show enough gratitude for my own kitties. They've been such a huge part of my life since I got them almost a year ago, so I thought it would be a good idea to introduce you to them.

This is my boy Lucas. He's such a cuddle bug that it verges on almost unbearable at times. One of my favorite things about him are his hugs. When I come home from work he gets up on his hind-legs and wraps his front legs around me. Too adorable for words.

This is Sassy. She's much more shy than Lucas although she definitely has some fun quirks that melt my heart. My favorite? Sassy will let you rub her belly for hours while purring like a motor. I've never met a cat who likes it as much as Sassy.

Lucas is such a ham and always wants to be the center of attention. If you don't take notice of him you'll likely get headbutted until you do.

One of Sassy's most hilarious features are her eyes. They've always been a little googley. It's cute normally, but give that girl some catnip and its just downright hilarious.

Thank you all so much for indulging my cat lady tendencies. I know it makes me a bit odd, but anyone who loves their pets should understand.
