Redemption

Just when I was getting nervous about the quality of overseas Vogue magazines I saw this NY Times article about how fabulous Russian Vogue editor Aliona Doletskaya is.

Doletskaya helped start Russian Vogue in a time of economic downturn ten years ago. Today it has more than 200,000 subscribers. This last issue had 340 pages in advertising.

If a track record like that isn't enough, fashionistas will be impressed by the rumor that Doletskaya is on the short list of women to fill Anna Wintour's Manolos when she decides to step down.

Sure, I'm still mad at Vogue India, but seeing other subsidiary publications prosper with exceptional work has me once again enamored with all things Vogue.
